Where is home for you?
I used to think that the city, country I live in is my home. It should be right because your physical place you stay is what we call home. Actually, it doesn’t.
Home is not a place you live in, not a country, not a city, not even a house you live in is your home. Home is a feeling… Home is where you feel like you are at home. Home can be a person, home can be a feeling you get from a cup of coffee you drink or a cookie you ate that smells like home; it also can be a word that you hear from someone you love… It depends on you.
This morning, I watched a video on Instagram, and it talked about living abroad. The video was pointing out the feeling you get when you live in other countries than your own.
As a person who has been traveling and living in other countries for the past 10 years, it got me thinking of how I feel about living in other places rather than my own hometown. It also got me thinking of where my home is.
How would you answer when I asked where your home is? Would you say your home country, your physical home, or would you say the place you feel like home?
