What Students Can Teach Us About Life and Authenticity
Last week, I had an amazing time speaking at the University of Debrecen in Hungary for International Marketing students. There were more than seven different countries represented in the class. I want to share what I’ve learned (seven things) from my time at the university — both about myself, the brilliant students I met yesterday, and about humanity as a whole.
First of all, I remembered being in the same position as them while studying Business Administration 15 years ago. (Oh my gosh, I feel old saying that! 😀)

As I reflect on yesterday and recall the content I shared with them, I made it all about them. My workshop was centered on making a difference in their lives by sharing the principles of creating Authentic Branding and how they can co-create success with their future clients as entrepreneurs and with the companies they will work for as employees. I focused on them by going with the flow and doing everything I could to include them in the present moment. I remembered how I needed guidance in my life back in the day, and how that guidance wasn’t there.
